Steering devices
The various types of steering devices allow safe operation of the steering wheel for one-handed drivers, so they can remain in control of the steering at all times. Abled bodied drivers, can easily remove the steering device with the quick release button.
Steering knob
For the driver with full use of hand and arm when steering. The steering knob device is designed to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand, giving the driver extra power and control when operating the steering wheel.
1-pin steering device
The 1-pin device is an alternative to the steering knob, for the driver who cannot fully open his hand. The padded disc provides comfortable hand support.
Tri-pin steering device
The 3-pin device is for the driver with adequate arm strength, but minimal grip strength or reduced wrist stability. It supports the hand and wrist and keeps them comfortably in position. The tri-pin device consists of 3 legs. The front leg has a fixed position, the rear legs can be adjusted inward, outward, forward and backward. This allows the tri-pin steering grip to be perfectly adjustable to fit the shape of the hand. The tr-pin device is very commonly used by paraplegics. When steering becomes too heavy, it is often possible to modify the power steering (low or zero effort steering)
V-grip steering device
The V-grip device is for the driver with minimal grip and reduced hand function. It can be adjusted to the size of the hand. The hand remains securely and comfortably in place.
Palm-grip steering device
The palm grip device is an alternative to the 3-pin device, if the driver has no grip and / or reduced wrist stability. The hand is stabilized by a cuff.
When it is neccessary to operate the steering wheel and secondary functions with the same hand SmartSteer may be a good solution.
